Viktor Pivovarov

Viktor Pivovarov is a contemporary Russian artist. He was one of the founders of Moscow Conceptualis art movement along with with Ilya Kabakov and Erik Bulatov. Following his friend Ilya Kabakov, he discovered the album genre, which combines image and text. Pivovarov also gained a reputation as one of the best children’s illustrators, and designed the magazines Veselye Kartinki and Murzilka. Since 1982, the artist lives and works in Prague.
